Yantra India Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 3979 Trade Apprentice Posts

There’s some solid news for candidates who have completed ITI or even just passed Class 10 and are looking for an opportunity to get into the government sector. Yantra India Limited (YIL) has released a new notification for Trade Apprenticeship training for the year 2026.

This time, the company is planning to fill 3979 Apprentice posts across its various Ordnance and Ordnance Equipment factories located in different parts of the country. These apprentices will be trained under the Apprentices Act, 1961, which is aimed at helping young candidates gain practical industrial experience before entering full-time employment.

Educational Qualification

For Non-ITI Applicants:

Candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board with:

  • Minimum 50 percent marks in total

  • At least 40 percent marks in Mathematics and Science separately

For Ex-ITI Applicants:

  • Must have passed ITI in the relevant trade from a recognized NCVT or SCVT institute

  • Should also have completed Class 10 with minimum required marks

Candidates who are still studying or waiting for their results are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit

The minimum and maximum age limits for this recruitment are:

  • Minimum Age: 14 years

  • Minimum Age for Hazardous Trades: 18 years

  • Maximum Age: 35 years

Candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, and PwD will get age relaxation as per government rules.

Application Fee

The application fee varies depending on the category:

  • General / OBC Candidates: ₹200 + GST

  • SC / ST / Women / PwD Candidates: ₹100 + GST

Payment has to be made through online mode using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Monthly Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend during the apprenticeship training period:

  • Non-ITI Apprentices: ₹8200 per month

  • Ex-ITI Apprentices: ₹9600 per month

This training is mainly meant for skill development, so apart from the stipend, no additional allowances will be provided.

Selection Process

One of the best parts about this recruitment is that there will be:

  • No written exam

  • No interview

Selection will be done purely based on merit. The merit list will be prepared using:

  • Class 10 marks for Non-ITI candidates

  • ITI and Class 10 marks for Ex-ITI candidates

After the merit list is released, shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification followed by a medical examination

Training Location

The apprenticeship training will be provided in different Ordnance Factories and Equipment Manufacturing Units functioning under Yantra India Limited across India.
